Change How Long TopLeft Keeps Closed ConnectWise Tickets

How to show closed tickets in TopLeft for longer than 1 day

Most MSPs have many thousands of closed tickets that are no longer useful to show in TopLeft. So TopLeft only keeps a copy of closed tickets for 1 day by default. Closed tickets are those in a status with the Closed field set.

To keep closed tickets longer than 1 day, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Advanced Options.
  2. Find the DJCONNECTWISE_KEEP_CLOSED_DAYS field and enter the number of days you wish to keep closed tickets in your TopLeft application.
  3. Click Save.

TopLeft will now keep closed tickets in TopLeft for the number of days saved in the setting above.

Keep Closed Tickets on Specific ConnectWise Boards

You can also keep closed tickets only on specific ConnectWise boards. Follow the additional steps below:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Advanced Options.
  2. In the left menu, in the DJCONNECTWISE section, click ConnectWise boards.

  3. Record the ID field of the ConnectWise board(s) you wish to sync closed tickets from.

  4. In the left menu, in the CONSTANCE section, click Config.

  5. Enter the board IDs into the DJCONNECTWISE_KEEP_CLOSED_STATUS_BOARD_IDS field. Separate board IDs with commas.

  6. Click Save.
