Board Edit Page Loads Slowly

If the board edit page loads slowly, it could be because there are thousands of companies/accounts listed in the company/account filter. To not show that filter, or to limit the number of companies/accounts listed, follow the steps below:

For ConnectWise

If you want to completely disable the Company filter, and not use that field for filtering at all, do this:

  1. From any board, click Admin in the main menu, then Administration. (If you don't see Admin, you're not an Administrator.)
  2. Under Constance, click Config.
  3. Check the HIDE_COMPANY_FILTER option.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.
  5. Go to any board edit page and verify that the company filter field is not shown.

If you want to filter only by companies that are in a certain set of types or statuses, do this:

  1. From any board, click Admin in the main menu, then Administration. (If you don't see Admin, you're not an Administrator.)
  2. Under Djconnectwise, click Company types or Company statuses. Record the names of the types or statuses you want to omit.
  3. Return to the Admin home page, then under Constance click Config.
  4. If filtering by Company type, in the COMPANY_TYPE_BOARD_EDIT_FILTER field, enter the names of types to omit, separated by commas. For example, this would omit companies of three types:
    • Client,Prospect,Ex-Client
  5. If filtering by Company status, in the COMPANY_STATUS_BOARD_EDIT_FILTER field, enter the names of statuses to omit, separated by commas. For example, this would omit companies of three statuses:
    • Inactive,Not-approved,Prospect
  6. At the bottom of the page, click Save.
  7. Go to any board edit page and verify that the company filter field only lists the expected companies.

For Autotask

If you want to completely disable the Company filter, and not use that field for filtering at all, do this:

  3. Check the HIDE_ACCOUNT_FILTER option.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.
  5. Go to any board edit page and verify that the company filter field is not shown.

If you want to filter only by companies that are in a certain set of types, do this:

  1. From any board, click Admin in the main menu, then Administration. (If you don't see Admin, you're not an Administrator.)
  2. Under Djautotask, click Account types. Record the names of the types you want to omit.
  3. Return to the Admin home page, then under Constance click Config.
  4. In the ACCOUNT_TYPE_BOARD_EDIT_FILTER field, enter the names of types to omit, separated by commas. For example, this would omit companies of three types:
